Work Party & Safety Boat Drill
This Sunday 26 May, we want to do some strimming and general tidying around the boatpark and club premises this weekend. Also we plan to have the safety boats available for members to brush up on their boat skills. We have fitted new controls to the Lady Anne so come and have a go before you have to do it for real.

Open Day at Perth Sailing Club
Visitors and members enjoyed a breezy Open Day at Lairwell on Sunday 5 May. Everyone seemed to have fun and nobody fell in plus it was a bit warmer than it has been of late.
Thanks to all our members who gave their time to allow this to go smoothly.

High and dry on Glover Street
Katriona and Euan were on hand to "crew" one of the club's Feva dinghies at Perth Leisure Pool at lunchtime on Saturday to draw attention to our Open Day on Sunday 5 May. If we had a third wheel on the trolley, we might have been able so sail around the car park in the blustery wind.
The open day runs from 11am till about 2pm if you would like to come along for a sail, or a chat, or a cuppa,
Many thanks to the management at Live Active for allowing our exhibit to sit on their grass, and to the varous teams of members who ran it.

Don't forget Perth Sailing Club is holding an Open Day at Lairwell on Sunday 5th May from 11am till approx 1:30pm. Come along and have a look. You may get out on the water weather permitting. Full details on the website www.perthsailingclub.org.uk
We will also have a presence outside Perth Leisure Pool on Saturday so come along either day for a chat.

The hole story
Anyone down at Lairwell this week will have noticed a trench round the back of the clubhouse. I can reassure you that the local moles have not got mechanised. Hydro Electric are putting the electricity cable underground, partly because of the shed the St Andrews Uni Boat Club want to build is going where one of the supply pole stands. It is expected building will take place over the summer, meantime trailers have been moved along the eastern boundary fence.
