It was nice to see a good turnout of new members on Sunday enjoying the windy conditions. Ben and Jack Douglas sailing one of the club Mirrors in the photo, were joined by Charlie Amatt and her mum in the other, who had a little difficulty getting round one of the marks. Jim Galloway bravely tried to control a Laser, fairly successfully. Vicky Wright, Josie Amatt and Brian Thorburn crewed for more experienced members and each had a turn of leading the fleet for a while.
Meanwhile Oliver Williams took Audrey Robertson for her first shot in a trapeze boat, and kept the spectators amused. I expect Audrey will have a few bruises to show off on Monday!
News of the year is of course that it has been confirmed Eric Taylor actually has legs under that drysuit. Is that the shorts first outing since P7 Eric?
