Battling The Water Flow On The Tay

After heavy rain further upstream in the catchment area of the River Tay, resulted in a large volume of water moving down the river.

The light winds at the start of the race soon vanished and the competitors were left fighting for every scrap of wind or movement. Remember that movement of a boat will cause lift and therefore further motion.

It takes a great deal of skill to sail in such light conditions so hats off to all the competitors !
