25th May at 19.50.

1. Present Malcolm Moore, Ian Sadler, Keith Fergie, Bob Watson, Eric Taylor, Audrey
Robertson, Katriona Sanwell.

2. Apologies. John Fergusson, Collin Fullerton.

3. Meeting with St. Andrews. Representatives of St Andrews met MM, ET and Sandy
Roger on May 21st. Presented new proposals for their boat shed which were in line
with our original suggestions. Proximity of the electricity pole prevented the shed
coming further back, also possible difficulties in excavating the bank near to it.
Still problems over manoeuvring the ‘eight’, which might require going into the
area outside the gate. Taking down the stone wall would compromise our security,
unless the gate could be moved further up.- MM to speak to David Clark [TSF] about
extending our fence. Anxieties about losing our trailer parking.- agreed to let them
know in broad agreement with the new plans and will put to an EGM of members
when final plans in place. To take professional advice [Condies] about the legal side
of allowing a £80,000 building on our land when this happens.

4. Debrief of Perth sail and open day. Lucky with weather and good turnout. Much
publicity from AR and KF helped, but short notice. More would have attended with
more notice. Requests for more Open Days. Agreed to hold two more on July 25th and
August 22nd, combined with a BBQ/ Social evening.

5. Sailing Course. JF reported 5 candidates. MM to contact the swimming pool for
permission to use it for capsize drill. Agreed to try to allot ‘mentors’ to shadow and
encourage candidates to keep on coming to the club after the course.
